Do not attempt an unlicensed or unfamiliar change on production equipment under pressure. Stop replacing it and investigate the environment: contamination, coolant ingress, physical impact from parts or an operator, cable flexing, vibration, or simply the wrong sensor type for the target. Then change the design β€” a different technology, a guard, better mounting or a repositioned cable. The judgement being scored is whether the technician treats repeat failures as a design problem rather than a consumable.
