New York nurse practitioners earn a median $153,510 a year, $73.80 an hour, per BLS OEWS May 2025. The middle half earns between $132,490 and $170,290, and the full range runs $112,730 to $198,060. The band is comparatively narrow because most New York NPs are employed on hospital-system or large-group scales rather than on production compensation.

New York-Newark-Jersey City pays the most at $163,340, but the Hudson Valley runs it close: Kiryas Joel-Poughkeepsie-Newburgh at $151,740 and Kingston at $151,370. Binghamton at $139,030 and Elmira at $138,700 complete the table. Net of New York City income tax and housing, the Hudson Valley figures are arguably the strongest on this list.
