The band is comparatively narrow because most New York NPs are employed on hospital-system or large-group scales rather than on production compensation.

New York-Newark-Jersey City pays the most at $163,340, but the Hudson Valley runs it close: Kiryas Joel-Poughkeepsie-Newburgh at $151,740 and Kingston at $151,370.
