Turf, ornamental and right-of-way categories
Outdoor vegetation and landscape categories, frequently held by landscape and arboriculture businesses as well as pest control firms.

Mosquito and vector control, wildlife and other specialist categories with their own examinations and rules.

Pest Control Technician license reciprocity between states
Some states have reciprocity agreements recognising an out-of-state applicator certification in equivalent categories, typically requiring you to hold a current certification and to sit the state law portion of the examination. It is far from universal, category definitions differ between states, and the most tightly regulated categories — fumigation and termite work — are the least likely to be recognised without re-examination. Company licences never transfer. Confirm with the destination state department of agriculture before applying pesticides there.
